Porto Recanati has been awarded the “Bandiera Blue” (blue flag), distinguishing it for the very high standard of its clean sea waters as well as their maintenance of the surrounding area.
Just 10 km from the bed & breakfast, the nature park Conero offers specifically designed secure hiking paths leading to the top of a mountain, opening up to a breathtaking panorama of rolling hills, sea and sky. 5 km to the north of us you will find the small town of Loreto. In Italy, Loreto ranks second after the St. Peter’s Cathedral in Rome, as one of the most important pilgrimage sites of the Catholic world. The villa of Beniamino Gigli, a famous tenor, is close by.
Numerous stores, shops and factory outlets are in the immediate area, offering good buys on Tod´s, Fabi, Docksteps, Geox, Fay, Prada, Cesare Paciotti, Valleverde, Melluso, Fornarina, Armani, Nmazareno Gabrielli, Hugo Boss, Brums, Guzzini, Poltrona Frau, to name just a few. All of them an excellent reflection of Italian industry and the craftsmanship of our region. Mountain lovers can reach the Sibilline Mountains in 1 1/2 hours by car. The Grottoes of Frasassi, the most beautiful ones to be found in all of Italy, are just one hour's drive away from us.
Rome is 280 km (about 3 hours on the express way, the autostrada) away from us and Assisi, Gubbi and Urbino, the city of Rafael, which is famous for the duke's palace and the pinacotheca, 1 1/2 hours by car.
Last but not least it is important to mention the outstanding cuisine and wines representing labels of the five provinces of the Marken: Ancona, Pesaro, Macerata, Fermo and Ascoli Piceno.
